Frequently Asked Questions about Advancial's Privacy Policy If I complete an application on the Advancial Federal Credit Union web site, what do you do with this information? We use this information to complete the request and/or transaction. We may share personal information with our business partners in order to deliver products and services which you have requested (for example, obtaining a credit bureau report if you applied for a loan). Advancial Federal Credit Union will not sell personal information to a third party for the purpose of solicitation. Information may, from time to time, be made available on a limited basis to Advancial Federal Credit Union business partners, to provide special offers or promotions of products or services that may be of interest to particular members, or in accordance with applicable law. Our business partners are carefully selected and share the same strict business principles as Advancial Federal Credit Union. Who has access to my personal information at Advancial Federal Credit Union? Your personal information is only accessed by Advancial Federal Credit Union Staff responsible for completing your request and/or transaction. Subsequent Advancial Federal Credit Union Staff access to your personal information is done to complete another request or transaction that you authorized. Access to your personal information could be required of Advancial Federal Credit Union under applicable law. You have free and unlimited access to any personal information stored at Advancial Federal Credit Union. You may request to change your personal information by sending a signed request through the U.S. mail or faxing a signed written request. If I send you an e-mail, what do you do with it? When you communicate to us through e-mail, we use your e-mail address only for the purpose of responding to your comments or questions. Advancial Federal does support an optional Listserver, "Advancial Federal Electronic Mailing List", which provides Members and potential Members with information about products and services. You always have the ability to unsubscribe. To unsubscribe, you may contact us by e-mail, phone, fax or mail. Your e-mail address provided in order to join the list will not be sold, nor will it be shared with others outside the credit union, unless we are required to do so by law. Do you use Web tracking software? If yes, what do you do with the information gathered? Yes, Advancial Federal Credit Union uses web tracking software. We do collect the information about the name of the domain from which you access the Internet ( example: flash.net, or att.net) and the site from which you came from. We use this information for internal analysis only, which helps us improve the content of our site for your future visits. How is my account information with cuAnywhere held private from other people going to your Web site? We store no member information on our web server that is accessed by the public. All account information is housed on computers that are behind our firewall (protected area). The web server only passes information between your browser and our computers located behind the firewall, and vice-versa. When using cuAnywhere and Bill Payer, what kind of security procedures are in place to protect my personal information? All cuAnywhere sessions are authenticated and encrypted. The authentication of a cuAnywhere session is handled through your Account Number and PIN combination, which is required at login. The PIN is the same that is used when conducting your Automated Teller Audio Response System transactions. You do have the ability to request a new PIN to access cuAnywhere and Automated Teller when you sign up for the cuAnywhere service. In addition, you have the ability to change your PIN in the Maintenance section of cuAnywhere. The encryption is accomplished by establishing a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection between the browser and the Web server. You can only access cuAnywhere with an SSL compliant browser. Is the information on cuAnywhere timely and accurate? Yes. All information and transactions conducted during normal business hours are handled on a real time, online basis. After business hours all transactions are handled on a store and forward basis. In this instance they are posted to your account the next business day. NOTE: The cuAnywhere access time is going to be subject to the constraints associated with the Internet. The faster your Internet connection, the better your performance will be on cuAnywhere. Throughout the application we have applied design consistency to the cuAnywhere pages to improve loading. We recommend that you use at least a 56kbs modem when connecting through cuAnywhere. I notice that cuAnywhere uses cookies when I use that application. What do you do with the information gathered? Advancial Federal Credit Union uses cookies with cuAnywhere as a means of maintaining the integrity of your session. They are a requirement for cuAnywhere to function properly. It is recommended that you turn off any options warning you before accepting cookies. The cookies taken will not be sold, nor will any related information be shared with others outside the credit union, unless we are compelled to do so by law. There are certain areas on your Web site that use a CO-Branded or Private Label Web area that is not owned and operated by Advancial Federal Credit Union. What happens to information provided to those entities? Advancial Federal Credit Union has, wherever possible, structured its Partnerships with entities that share the same privacy values as us. Some of the Partnerships developed have these terms expressed in our Agreement with the other party. If you believe that your privacy has been violated on a Partner site, then you should contact us immediately.
What should I do if I believe my privacy was compromised? You should contact the Privacy Policy Administrator immediately and identify your problem. If this does not result in proper resolution, Advancial Federal does participate in the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and adheres to its Customer Complaint Resolution process.
